My partnership with Ravenscroft School began with their need for effectively highlighting a complex message to their parents, teachers, faculty and alumni community. In practice, Ravenscroft was doing a lot of great and innovative things for the advancement of their students and staff, but the lack of cohesive visuals to explain their initiative was holding them back from getting the buy-in they needed. The leadership team had spent many years in the nuts and bolts of the program so their challenge was stepping away and communicating its value clearly and compellingly.
Our partnership took shape when we decided to develop a series of 4 videos highlighting Ravenscroft's work with the Center for Creative Leadership on their "Lead From Here" initiative. In a nutshell, this program teaches students real-world leadership skills starting at the pre-k level, carrying all the way through grade 12.
I started this project with the fresh perspective of an outsider, allowing me to dig into the written materials, sit in on meetings, attend a workshop held by the Center for Creative Leadership, and begin to find clarity in the key points that set this initiative apart. Pushing the marketing jargon aside, we were able to highlight the key aspects of the Lead from Here initiative using video and adding motion graphics to their brand, giving Ravenscroft something to share with their entire community. The school uses these resulting visuals on their website and social media and shares them during events for new and perspective parents and students.
In addition to the Lead From Here series, I have continued to develop various marketing visuals for Ravenscroft, including a series on their Lower School, a Capital Campaign booster video, and a series of alumni testimonials, all of which you can view by clicking here.
