As a small start-up, Mati Energy did almost everything in-house—including their product photos. One day I happened to be enjoying a can of Mati in my kitchen and was sparked with so much extra energy after drinking it, and added to the little desire I had to sit in front of my computer any longer, I decided to set up a photo shoot right there and post to social media. Right around this time, Mati happened to be rebranding the look of their cans and when they saw my post they loved it so much they decided to hire me as their professional photographer to shoot all of the flavors and new cans in a similar way.
Through my product photos for Mati, I sought to draw out both the wholesome and edgy elements of their brand. By incorporating the fresh fruit that goes into each flavor, we were able to give nod to the natural ingredients (fruit juice + brewed Guayusa leaves) found in each can, emphasizing the company’s core value of providing a clean, healthy energy drink to its consumers.
Equipped with a new array of professional photos, Mati Energy was able to invest in growing their business by advancing their brand online, on consumer product websites, on social media and in print marketing. Mati continues to grow and expand their offerings and awareness of a clean, natural energy drink they are distributing across the USA.
